Accenture has released a report identifying Australia as the third most targeted country in the world for cyber attacks. We sit just behind the USA and UK, two countries that are much further ahead in cyber security.
Globally, data compromise has risen by 125% from last year.
And unfortunately, there are no national borders in cyberspace, so there’s very little protecting Australian businesses from overseas threats. The only option open to Australian authorities is to report threats and incidents to the corresponding international agencies.
