The Two Reasons We Can’t Forgive
Reason 1. It is impossible to hold both hate and love in our heart --there is only room for one. When your hands are full of stones, are you able to hold a flower? Not likely…unless you drop the stones….
Reason 2. Whenever we act cruelly, it's because habit took over the show. We react on autopilot instead of respond by choice. Our subconscious tells us who we are, and what to do or think. And as our only acting operating system we never consider being, thinking or acting otherwise.

What's the solution?
Awareness.
Within us lives a Self that cannot forget its Divine Essence any more than birds can forget to fly. It is awaiting our awareness of it. We have hidden it so well, so deeply and for so long, we forgot it was ever present. We forgot that we can make our choices from its unlimited abundance.
Instead, we make choices from a small limited self that tells us this pain we feel is all there is. We really aren’t choosing at all.
Our Higher Self sees what is true and what is not. When we let our Higher Self command our life, as conflicts appear we no longer react to them. We choose to observe and respond. This “not choosing pain or fear” is what then makes room in our heart for love.
Last, expand your awareness to embrace others as well as yourself. Remember everyone is doing their best from their level of awareness. Everyone suffers with unspoken pain, abandoned dreams and broken hearts.
Just like you.
So, practice responding vs reacting, drop the stones to make room in your heart for love and see other from the eyes of your Higher Self.
