Getting Clear
Our lives are often based on some mistaken [dare I say crazy?] idea we picked up who knows where, who knows when. It matters not-- the idea has taken hold, unpacked and has permanently moved into the spare bedroom.
One such idea living with us is that something outside of ourselves holds the answer to our problems. We count on that external something to create our happy. It might be a person, a job, a possession, a condition... it certainly is not us, right?
This may be one of the greatest lies we believe. We need to move that idea OUT of the guest room, right now, Peaches.
There is only one thing that can be counted on, and it is found when we are alone, with ourselves and our Source.
Curious to the reason why we keep so darn busy in order to avoid being alone? We are scared. Scared about what seeing or acting on what this need for solitude might show us.
Our small self tells us that if we get quiet we will see that our dream has been shattered. We will be alone. We will have no one. Life is not worth living.
Well who wants to see THAT?
Better work more, work longer, create drama...ANYTHING to avoid seeing this truth about our dreams.
Do not think this is the truth. It is not. It is the small self trying to survive.
This so-called dream shattering is a removal of attachments so we can see the dream for what it is--is a creation by the small self.
There is nothing outside of us that holds the answer to any problem.
In those moments when it appears life takes something from you, do not feel angry or afraid. Do not replace it with another activity. This keeps focus on the externals of life and abdicates self responsibility. It gives validity to false beliefs.
Get quiet. Clarity is found in the silence. Clarify your awareness. Clarify what you are doing and thinking in these moments. Clarify your true essence.
Get quiet. Joy is found in the silence. Your quiet will soon unveil a soul secret: that being alone with God is not being alone at all.
Welcome the shattering and move closer to God.
May your perfect clarity bring you perfect peace.
"It is only when you are really alone that you are not alone in the truest sense." -Guy Finley
