Pastor Appreciation Month is a great time to show your pastor how much you value and appreciate him for the role he serves. There are so many great men in the pulpit today, some of whom you have known or are related to. Many of us were blessed to have been blessed by a pastor who gave a life transforming service. May others be impacted by your pastor's caring, love and talents. Let this month shine on his character as you send out your warmest prayer for him and all the wonderful work he does.
We recognize the hard work and dedication our pastors bring to their churches, schools and synagogues each and every week. The bills do not stop coming and we need only look around us to see other areas in need of caring and help. A pastor's job and the work of the entire clergy are extremely important. Many have spent countless hours in the pulpit delivering inspiring sermons, helping to instruct and lead others in the right way. They have given of their time and talents that have enriched and touched many lives.
It is important to acknowledge the work these men do each and every week by honoring them with a pastor's appreciation dinner. This is a time for you to say thank you for the awesome work they do. A pastor's salary is usually quite low, so why not show your gratitude with this simple gesture? There is no greater feeling than sending out a check for a dinner to a pastor or religious person, praising their work and profession.
Your entire church or synagogue can prepare food well, which will make everyone feel better about inviting that very pastor you know. Why not have a potluck and ask each and every pastor to bring a dish. Make it a wonderful day for all to celebrate and have fun. One or more children can give the speeches, while others will read from the bible or write letters to the pastor. Afterward you can all enjoy a quiet, delicious meal.
You don't need to break the bank to send out a pastor appreciation message for October. Find some inexpensive business cards and distribute them to everyone in the church. Have the children write short messages thanking the pastor for the hard work they are doing. Have the ladies give a short thank you to the pastor or the women in the youth group. Have the pastors sign their names on the cards.
Whether the pastor is elderly, a young couple or a new pastor, his or her role is very important to you and the members of your church. These people make the greatest contributions to the growth of your community. So during October, be sure to send your love and prayers to the pastor of your church, remembering how much he or she means to you and to the members of your family.
