A post by the Food Research Lab describes the recall of a hair-care product that exceeds the permitted microbial load by the EU.
According to the European Commission, Baylis & Harding Goodness Watermelon Burst has been recalled since the product was tainted with an aerobic mesophilic bacterium called Pluralibactor gergoviae. The contamination load was 3000 cfu/g, which is against cosmetic regulations. A corrective action plan includes the withdrawal of the product from end users.
