2. Operation method. Use scissors to prune the plant into a ''Y'' shape at 10-30 cm from the ground, remove all the upper branches and keep only 4-6 lateral buds with a 45° beveled cut, and then cut all the lateral branches below the eggplant.
After the pruning is finished, it is recommended to use 72% agrostreptomycin 1g + 50% carbendazim powder 500 times, mix with water to make a paste and apply it to the cuttings, which can effectively prevent the disease from infecting the wound. After the new branches sprout, keep 2 healthy branches and remove all the rest.
3, post-cutting management. When the new branches grow to 10-12 cm, double stem grooming. Keep 2 strong lateral branches as fruiting branches, wipe off all the rest of the lateral branches, and promptly knock off the side buds and leaves at the bottom, so that each eggplant leaves 3-4 fruits.
