Why is System Integration So Important Now a Days? |

In today’s age and day when businesses and companies want to stay ahead of the game they need their systems to work accordingly and synchronously. Businesses that do not have system integration in place see significant increases in resource and cost consumption but before we dive into that, we should first understand what system integration in the Philippines is. What is System Integration?System integration is a method or way of connecting different subsystems into one larger system that functions as a single source. In regards to software solutions, system integration is commonly defined as the process of associating various IT services, systems and or software to enable them to work seamlessly together. It can also be done one of four ways; Vertical Integration, Star Integration, Horizontal Integration and Common Data Integration. These four ways can be offered by different unified communications solutions providers. Methods of System IntegrationVertical Integration - is a method where systems components are integrated by making depositories that starts with the most basic function to the most complex. Normally, this way is simple and only involves a limited number of systems only, however, a hindrance of this integration is it may be more difficult to manage in the long run as any new functionality will require its own depository. Star Integration - it is when a system subsystems are interconnected with other subsystems using a point-to-point method of connections. Above all of that, this allows for better and much organized functionality. A major drawback of this kind of integration is, as systems increase, the number of integrations increase as well and this leads to difficulty managing the integrations. Horizontal Integration - it is a separate sub-systems and used as an interface layer between every other subsystems. This layer is usually referred to as an enterprise service bus. This technique allows each sub-system to have a single and only one interface to communicate with. One benefit of using horizontal integration is each sub-system can be replaced or changed without having to revise or update other systems. Common Data Integration - it helps systems to avoid having the adapter convert to and from each and every application format that are available. Systems using this method set a common application independent format and that is always available in the market, or they will provide a service that transforms to or from one application into the common application. System Integration is Important because?System integrator is an independent and a unique entity that uses project and technical management activities to integrate commercially available software. Using a system of programs that do not integrate with each other can make it impossible for admins or employees to work effectively or for an organization to achieve its goals. Having your data in one location will also reduce storage and costs compared to having multiple systems simultaneously. Companies often struggle when the task of managing their data is not aligned. If your systems and processes are not working together or interchangeably, it can be very time consuming and tedious and it will be very hard to manage everything individually. Most importantly, by incorporating, you get the benefits of efficiency and effectiveness, whilst reducing the disruption caused by having data from multiple sources. This naturally leads to better analysis of data.
