One of the best ways to improve the beauty of your garden is with decorative garden racks. They can easily be added to walls and will provide you with plenty of room for all of those things you need to store and display. In this article we will look at the benefits of installing a vertical garden rack to help you grow your vegetable garden. We will talk about the various types that are available and how easy they are to install. Once you have read this article you will be fully equipped to choose which rack would be the most suitable one for you and your garden.
The first type of rack that we will look at is the hanging vertical garden rack. These are best used in larger gardens where hanging space is an important consideration. The hanging planters are mounted vertically and are fitted in a circle on the wall, enabling you to connect them horizontally to a wall mount, or stand free on a free rack. To hang these racks you will need a wall anchor and a stud wall anchor. Hanging these racks on concrete walls is also possible but I find them too unstable, so I generally opt for the above options.
The next option is to use a free standing rack. You could also add a wall anchor here but the free standing option provides you with more flexibility and better looks. The free rack is a good idea for small gardens as it allows you to show off your plants and flower beds. It is a bit more challenging to set up as there needs to be adequate support for the weight of the hanging plant structure so I would only advise using this option if you have a strong wall.
The last type of rack I will discuss is the one that is fixed to a wall. This is the most complex option as it requires precise measurements and a professional to install it correctly. Once installed it is stable enough to let you proudly display your garden wares. These types of racks come in many different designs. My personal favourite is the free standing rack, especially when it comes to flower and vegetable displays.
A vertical rack is often mounted by drilling into the ground vertically. It is then fastened into a wooden frame which supports it perfectly. The installation process is quite straightforward as it simply needs to just fit into the ground vertically. Once the frame is in place the whole thing is secured into place by concrete and cement.
So there you have it, three different types of vertical garden racks that can all be used to display your fresh produce and other products within your garden. If you are planning on revamping your garden and adding a wall feature I would highly recommend a vertical garden rack as part of your plans. You will love the way it adds to the aesthetic appeal of your garden and your family will love the fact that they have extra space to store their gardening tools and have a safe place to put their bikes. Best of all though it will save you space in your home and cut your gardening time in half too.
