This week’s message explores how Scripture begins with one Creator and one human family before the nations were scattered at Babel, and how God’s plan has always been to gather humanity back together through His Son. Rather than presenting disconnected stories, the Bible reveals one unfolding revelation—from creation, to covenant, to Christ, to the coming Kingdom of God. Together we will explore: • Humanity’s common origin in the image of God and why every person possesses equal dignity before the Creator. • The Tower of Babel, the division of the nations, and how humanity sought unity apart from God. • Why ancient civilizations throughout the world preserve remarkable echoes of shared memories such as the Flood, paradise lost, sacrifice, and hope for a coming Deliverer. • God’s covenant with Abraham and His promise to bless every nation through one unfolding plan of redemption. • How Jesus Christ fulfills the Law, the Prophets, the covenants, the sacrifices, and the hope of every nation as the eternal Word made flesh. • Pentecost as the beginning of God gathering the scattered nations once again through the power of the Holy Spirit. • Ethiopia’s unique place in biblical history and its ancient witness to Jesus Christ through one of the world’s oldest continuously Christian traditions. • The Church as one new humanity united in Christ—bringing together every tribe, language, people, and nation without erasing their God-given diversity. • The biblical pattern of God working through faithful servants, and how many within the Rastafari tradition understand His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I as a historical witness to Christ’s Kingdom while affirming that Jesus Christ alone is the eternal Word made flesh and the Savior of the world. • God’s continuing call for humanity to live in justice, mercy, peace, stewardship, humility, and faithful service as we await the return of Jesus Christ. This message follows the entire biblical story—from Eden, to Babel, to Abraham, to Christ, to Pentecost, to Ethiopia, to the Church, and ultimately to the vision of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation gathered before the throne of God in Revelation. Our gathering remains centered on salvation through Jesus Christ while creating space for thoughtful discussion surrounding Scripture, Rastafari, discipleship, justice, mercy, history, biblical interpretation, and the Kingdom of God. ⸻ 🪖 Our Mission & Teaching Foundation This gathering centers on the message of salvation through Jesus Christ and encourages responsible living in society—promoting justice, compassion, discipline, and positive community engagement. We also present teachings from a Rastafari perspective regarding the role and significance of the Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Selassie I, approached through biblical interpretation, historical context, and spiritual reflection. Our teaching does not place any human figure as equal to Jesus Christ, who alone is affirmed as God incarnate. Rather, we explore how many have come to understand the Emperor through the biblical pattern of the Spirit and power demonstrated in figures such as Elijah and John the Baptist. Within this interpretive framework, the Emperor is understood by many as revealing Christ’s kingship and authority while serving as an initial historical witness to aspects of biblical prophecy—never replacing or completing what belongs to Jesus Christ alone. This perspective is presented carefully within the theological boundaries historically preserved by the Ethiopian Orthodox tradition, maintaining reverence for Scripture while allowing room for thoughtful interpretation, discussion, and reasoning. ⸻ 📍 Location Details 2686 Kalākaua Ave Honolulu, HI 96815 Kapiʻolani Beach Park Tennis Courts Across the street from the public restrooms, on the beach side of the park underneath the large Banyan tree.
