When it comes to studying, there is a major difference between memorizing and learning. It has happened to you many times that you say to yourself that because I study so much, I cannot be successful like my friend. Or how my friends can answer all the lessons in the comprehensive exams, but I can't. Why do I forget course material after studying? Why did the material escape my mind during the exam? Today in this article we are going to explain the differences between memorizing and learning. The tasks we all know are very different from retention. Before anything else let's review memorization and learning. memorizing: • It is short term • It is stored in short-term memory • Unrelated to reality • Information is available for quick recall • Limited to basic words and sentences • Does not create creativity in solving questions • You have to think a little more to solve each question learn: • Long term or permanent • It is stored in long-term memory • Expands on values, systems, and concepts (not just basic vocabulary). • More conceptual, superior, virtual interpretation • It helps to create communication, better understanding, combining information • I can answer the questions of several lessons at the same time • The speed of action to solve questions is much better
Memorize and learn In the process, understand content is always created after memorization. Students begin to study new information having memorized it in the first step. In the next step, you can review the read material by solving the examples and repeating the review until memorizing and becoming. We should use each of these definitions well in its own place. So memorizing and learning are part of mental processes. Let's say we only want information for the next hour and we don't need it anymore, then it can be useful to retain the information. For example, I can use it to understand the rules of a game. There are many differences between the two definitions of memorizing and learning. In general, most students use memorization and think that they have learned the lesson, but the truth is not. Students who memorize the material are only able to solve the questions which they have solved the example, that is they cannot use any creativity to solve the question because they understood the material. This problem occurs mostly in math, science, physics, etc. Remember, just memorizing a formula is not enough to succeed in the gifted test. When you shouldn't use memorization There are many differences between the two definitions of memorizing and learning. Most of the time, students should rely on the actual content instead of trying to memorize the content. In the following scenarios we should never maintain reliance. When we: • The study material is important for us • The material to be studied should be sequential and for old materials, materials should be needed • There is supposed to be a test of the read material • Must remember information in more than 24 hours We use different study strategies to remember and understand the material. We are listed below. Different strategies: 1. Reading materials: Einstein says that in order to learn and complete a subject, you must read it the same day, the next day, and again 7 days later so that it takes place in your mind. 2. Visualization: Pictures always help us to use the material, so it is better to always study the course material with pictures to memorize and learn. Try to turn the lesson formulas into pictures and install them on your room wall so that you can always see them. 3. Planning studies: Using programs, you can study course material with time management to ensure that all lessons are repeated. This factor is one of the most important methods for memorizing and learning. 4. Stories: Many students turn the course material into stories to make it easier to understand. This is mostly done for elementary school students to make the process of memorization and learning easier. 5. Repeat, repeat and repeat: The main key is to have repetition in the study. You should re-read each time you start a topic, for example and practice doing this. For example, if it is not solved, it is not complete. Conclusion: The main point is that in most cases, the time to fully understand the material is the best option. We know that all students spend time studying, but they have different results. Therefore, it is better to use the correct method and not memorize the course material in any way. Be sure to use the mentioned items to memorize and learn the course material.
