Posted: November 30, 2023 |
We all love deep discounts and sales. Soon, the long-awaited signs will appear on storefronts, billboards, and online banners: "SALE", "TOTAL SALE", "-50%", "-90%". With the advent of the pandemic, stores have adapted to the restrictions and inconveniences by starting to organize online sales. By the way, this way of shopping has become very popular. Now anyone can order the product they want through a website or app. Quick, easy and convenient! American "Black Friday There is a legend that unprofitable days used to be marked in red and profitable days in black in accounting. Traditionally, everyone shopped before the weekend, on Friday. But this is only a legend. What was it really like? In the early 21st century, department stores and small retailers began holding huge sales on the last Friday in November to make money. Americans began lining up at the entrances on Thursday night, and on Friday the malls were overflowing with shoppers. Black Friday in Ukraine In Ukraine, people also celebrate the day in shopping malls or by shopping online. Discount hunters can spend a lot of time looking for the best deals. The event is called "Black Night" or "Discount Night". During this night, store doors are not closed and sales associates serve customers without interruption. Due to time constraints, there will be no night shopping this year, and in the morning the crowd of freebie lovers will, as they say, "take their souls out". Such events are interesting not only for buyers, but also for sellers. This is a great advantage for the state budget and the economy. By the way, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the adoption of this custom by our American friends in Ukraine. Despite the name "Friday", sales continue after it. Discounts can range from 20% to 90%. Many marketplaces begin to reduce prices long before the official start, so that everyone can enjoy "black shopping". Any promotion attracts the attention of the audience, and therefore this day is used in various industries, such as restaurants, travel agencies, language courses, and so on. An interesting marketing gimmick can attract new customers.
