COVID-19 Advice for Employment Businesses and Agencies |
Posted: February 8, 2023 |
Our Response to COVID-19 All of our staff are trained in infection control and are very careful about the symptoms of COVID-19. We have a transparent process if a resident, patient, or staff member shows such symptoms, and all our staff have been great about following it. If a resident or patient shows symptoms of COVID-19, staff will follow medical advice and self-isolate. Only on confirmation that they're negative will they return home or to the hospital, or if we're confident we have sufficient and appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) to take care of them at home or in the hospital. Our staff know that a resident or patient who is infectious must be cared for using stringent infection control practices and with appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) until they are confident that they are non-contagious. Please be confident that our staff has been trained in this practice. We are confident that the proper procedures are followed to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. Use of Technology We've escalated the use of new technology to respond to the changes in which we run our business so we can provide high-quality service. These include making our updated policies and procedures available online or via email and frequently monitored communication systems to contact staff or clients. Working from Home We have adopted an efficient WFH (Work From Home) application for our office employees to ensure we keep the same effective service standards as we do from our office. Business Continuity We have activated our business continuity policy as planned and acquired the resources to see us through this period. We have taken advantage of the relief package provided by the government, which will ensure that our business will thrive through and beyond this turmoil. Recruitment Our agency employs a groundbreaking app that allows us to recruit and vet staff faster using smooth software for recruitment tracking. As advised on the update by the Home Office update, we will now verify the identity document remotely over a video link. We will conduct interviews through video links and use online DBS checks. It helps us keep up with staffing demands during this period. Staff Training We take our staff training seriously, as this is key to the value of our service. We have prepared a course in response to COVID-19 for existing staff and new hires. The course is delivered online, covering infection control, regulation 20 and the vast guidance provided by the government, as well as new updates as and when they are published. We consistently check for information that affects us, our staff and our clients on relevant sources, including the gov.uk website and the NHS 111 website. Information Sharing & Dispatch We also use daily scheduled SMS, email, and in-app push notifications to update staff on crucial and relevant information and send reminders on COVID-19 transmission guidelines. For example, we send advice on wearing PPE, handwashing, testing for symptoms before going to work, or what to do if they have any symptoms. Having this in mind, we are keeping replacement staff at hand in case an employee cannot attend a shift. We also keep our clients up-to-date with relevant information smoothly via the same means. ID Cards As key workers, our staff always carry official company ID cards. The ID card is branded with the company logo and bears the staff member's name, role, employee number (if applicable) and issue date. We have also issued letters if they are stopped by the police enforcing the lockdown. Care Agency Media's expertise and experience helps you improve your business.
