Being the eighth-most populous South Asian country in the world, Bangladesh's imports have an approximate value of around USD 50 billion in 2019. - Iron machines/clean machines/yarn wash with 268.1 million dollars
- Sewing machines and related furniture with 234.6 million dollars
- Machines of temperature change with 218.1 million dollars
- Elevators and liquid pumps with 233.1 million dollars
- Purifiers, centrifuges, filters with 178.2 million dollars
- Stitching or knitting machines with 206.4 million dollars
- Boilers that are vapor based with 197.7 million dollars
- Air or vacuum pumps with 204.7 million dollars
- Other miscellaneous machinery with 211.9 million dollars.
According to the machinery data imports, Bangladesh had purchased the machines of changing temperature up to 62.5%, elevators and liquid pump up to 23.8%, and then 6.5% of purifiers, centrifuges, and filters. These percentages have shown much increase from the year 2018 to 2019.
