Why a Standard Platform Truck is a Good Alternative Hauler |
Posted: January 17, 2022 |
Platform beds can be fitted to a wide variety of truck bodies to suit a vast range of transportation needs. A platform truck is a real asset to business owners who may be getting along with a pickup and trailer or a cargo van. Trailers, truck bed options like toolboxes, and forklift kits further extend the utility of a standard platform truck body. Using Your Standard Platform Truck Select a platform truck body, and you can have it outfitted with a standard platform and a variety of options to customize the truck for your exact business needs. A truck bed will offer easier loading and unloading for things like cement bags and masonry. Of course, even a smaller platform bed offers the carrying capacity to a van or a large pickup. With the right drivetrain and accessories, you can also tow a trailer or haul a forklift. Our standard platform beds offer flexibility in size and the options you need for a wide variety of transportation jobs. Features and options like the trailer hitch and stake pockets enable your carrying capacity further. Our Standard Platform Truck is Far From Generic There is no standard for our standard platform bed. Body features include lengths from 8-foot to 30-foot build of 10GA smooth steel. Headboards in custom shapes and widths are also available. We can add features that help secure a payload, such as equipment straps. If you need to tow a trailer, we can add a trailer hitch. Wil-Ro's standard platform offers great towing options to extend the value of their trucks. Additional options include LED taillights, underbody toolboxes in four sizes, a brake controller, and a 7-pole plug-in for trailer lights. A Moffett/Princeton kit is also available for customers who need to transport forklifts. Receiver tubes in 2 or 2 1/2 inch diameter and a pintle hook hitch round out the available options. Trust Wil-Ro for Quality and Durability No doubt that a custom truck will be an important business asset. Don't take chances when getting a platform truck. Our truck beds and bodies are crafted at our factory in Gallatin, Tennessee, and we use tough materials to create platform trucks, trailers, and specialty trucks. We are a veteran-owned manufacturer with nearly 50 years in the commercial truck and trailer business.
